Hot Stuff!

Kiera loves to play in the refrigerator and take things out. Well, she didn't want to give up the tobasco sauce and just wanted to eat it. I think she kind of liked it... that's my girl!

Playing all the time!

Well, our little baby is no longer a baby :) She is a little girl who loves to play, talk and laugh. We are having so much fun with her and are so blessed to have her in our lives. Here is a video of a typical day with Kiera.

Happy Halloween

Kiera had her first Halloween Parade at daycare today. She was soooo happy to be in her outfit. Funny thing is, Ryan tried it on her last night and she was crying and didn't want to wear it. Flash forward to daycare and all the other kids are wearing costums... Now she wants to wear it! She was being so funny. Her class had to wait until the bigger kids went by to join the parade, and Kiera was chomping at the bit. She was banging on the door, opening the door and screaming "DADA!" out the door. All the other kids were waiting calmly for their turn, not our girl... he he! Here is a picture of Kiera in her costume... hey, Monsters have to be Cool too!!!

Work out time!

Kiera loves her work out Care Bear. This relic from the 80's is still working! It sings some classic tunes such as "let's get physical" and "Bears just want to have fun". Kiera's favorite is "head, shoulders, knees and toes". Here is a video of her working out with her bear. She has only really mastered the "head" part of the song :)

Bed Time

Well, Kiera has really started getting into books. Here is a video of Kiera reading a book with her Daddy :)

Growing up so fast....

Here is a picture that shocked me when I saw it. Kiera looks so old! She looks more like a baby in person, but man when I saw this picture I saw what she will look like in a few years. I still can't believe how quickly she is growing up.

Dance Baby, Dance!

Here is a video of Kiera playing and dancing. She LOVES her leap frog toy and loves to dance to the song it plays. Good job picking out that gift, Emily and Marc!!! Kiera has adjusted very well to the townhouse. She loves to explore and try to open the cabinets and refrigerator. She has been doing very well with walking and only crawls on occasion now.

Here is a picture of Kiera's teeth. She has four teeth now, two on top and two on bottom. She loves her new teeth and loves to grind them the most!!!

Blueberry Pancakes... YUM!

Kiera had a great time eating blueberry pancakes this morning. Although, I am not sure what she liked most... the pancakes or smearing them all over her face! It was very cute.

Happy Birthday, Baby!

Our little baby is turning one! We had a great time this weekend and had the whole family in for a celebration, it was a great time. Kiera got a lot of nice gifts and had so much fun playing with her cousins. Kiera accomplished so much in her first year. She has a tooth, can crawl and play and has even taken a few steps!! I can't wait to see what her second year holds :)

Summer time and the living is Easy!

Sunday workout

Kiera is getting very good at walking behind her buggie. I think she is pretty happy walking witht the buggie and crawling as her main forms of getting around. We are on tooth watch here, she has what looks like two tooth buds on her bottom gums. Please, please, please be her teeth!!! Poor little girl has been teething since Christmas!

Babysitting my Nephews

Well, I am here in Charleston, SC babysitting Owen and Derek for a few days. I offered the service to DD and Tim so they could go on vacation. They were happy to take me up on it :) The first day with the boys went well. Today is starting out pretty well also. The only thing is, Owen told me that his throat hurt and wouldn't eat breakfast :( So.... I got a little creative and solved the not wanting to eat dilema.... he he he. Sorry the picture is fuzzy, it was taken on my cell phone.

Cutie Pie

My first Mother's day has come and gone. It was a great day that started with sleeping in and a yummy breakfast made for me! I am just so happy to be a mom and have so many blessings in my life. Kiera was extra good this weekend and we had a lot of fun playing together yesterday. Here is a recent picture of her, she was watching her favorite TV show... Hi-5.

Strong Baby!

Well, we watched Kiera pull herself to standing in her crib tonight. She was very proud of herself. It was pretty amazing that she pulled herself up considering she was in her sleep sack. Oh, she is growing up so fast!

Go Baby Go!!

Our little baby is almost officially a toddler, she has started to crawl! She is not a super crawler just yet, but she is able to move across the floor. She was previously log-rolling to everything, and now will crawl and log roll. Her favorite "toys" to crawl to are Ryan's watch, her hairbrush and Newton's Dog bone (any of them!) Kiera was being babysat last week by Ryan's Mom and Stepdad and she had a great time. I think Grandmom and Grandpa had a great time too :) Ryan and I went to the Dominican Republic with his friends Tommy and Ashley and had a lot of fun. Although, we were missing our baby girl by the end of the first day! No more vacations without her!!!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! Kiera is still too little for Easter candy, so she actually got a stuffed peep for her Easter treat. She likes to chew on on the Peep. Maybe next year she can have a real peep :)

Germ-a-phobes Beware!!!

OK, here is the newest thing Kiera loves to do... feed the dog! She would eat one puff and then give Newton one puff. It was very cute and she is very good at sharing :) Unfortunately, she doesn't seem to mind that Newton just licked her hand...ewww! Oh well, they say dogs' mouths are cleaner than ours. I sure hope so! If not, I guess Kiera is just building her immune system. Ha ha. Enjoy!

Let's Eat

Kiera tends to be a bit messy with her food :) Here is a video of her enjoying a teething biscuit. Check out her bib... she had ham dinner and pears with mangos for dessert. She may have gotten more on her bib than in her mouth!!!

1st day of daycare

Well, Kiera made it through her first day at daycare. The teachers said she did very well for her first day... I am sure they say that to everyone :) The good thing is that when I walked past the window, she was sitting in a chair and playing with toys. She actually seemed pretty happy. When she saw me, she started to cry. She was actually looking for her teacher, Ruth, when I was taking her home. That made me feel much better. Here is a picture from this morning.

Ready for the Snow

Well, we are predicted our first "real" snow storm of the year... we are supossed to get 2-4" of snow! I don't know how we will handle it all :) Things are good here, Kiera is growing so quickly. He new favorite thing to do is dance and sing with Daddy when he plays guitar. It is so cute. She also loves to play with the cat and the dog. They are so good and don't seem to mind when she pulls their hair!!

Lazy Sundays are the Best!

Play time!

Well, our little baby is 6 months old today. I can not believe how big she is and how much she is doing these days. One of her FAVORITE toys is a leapfrog play table that my friend Sheila gave me. Kiera loves to play at the table and wants to be a big girl and stand by herself!! She is pretty good on her feet for about 1/2 of a minute :) This is a video of her playing tonight before her dinner, enjoy!
